Fall trip notes:
For those going down Friday, be advised that the ‘best’ way to Stone Creek is via I75 to Exit 22. Left over the interstate to 1st red light. Left and follow the signs (small!) to the clubhouse. The initial turn will be left into the community, watch for the yellow on black signs!. Some GPS’s will want you to take Exit 29, and while it is the shortest it also takes you to the Residents entrance which is gated and you will not be able to get in that way. Go to Exit 22! The course is in excellent condition, short and tight!
Friday’s game at Stone Creek will be Skins & Pins. The fee is $10, $6 skins, $4 pins (close-ups on par 3’s). Everyone will play their normal tees except all par 3’s will be played from the Blues.
The weekend competition will be our ‘normal’ game (2 low balls). Teams will be determined each day by a blind draw where the computer will pick the teams and they will be as closely balanced as possible. We will pick different teams for Saturday and Sunday.
We will pay 3 places each day for teams, plus skins, plus 3 places for individual points. Saturday’s individual points quota will be based on your current GHIN hdcp. Sunday’s quota will be adjusted based on Saturday’s results.
We will have the pairings for each day posted Thursday. The pairings are a ‘best guess’ scenario based on numerous criteria. Once posted, they can only be changed by mutual agreement.
We currently have 32 players signed up and paid.
