REMINDER:  SOUTHERN HILLS MGA 4 BALL TOURNAMENT IS SCHEDULED FOR  THIS SUNDAY JUNE 3, 2018 AT 1:00 PM.  WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF MORE TEAMS, THIS IS THE ONLY HANDICAP TOURNAMENT WE DO EVERY YEAR AND WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT. THE COST IS ONLY $50.00 PER PERSON AND ALL  MONIES IS PAID OUT IN PRIZES. IF YOU NEED HELP GETTING A PARTNER LET ANY OF YOUR BOD MEMBERS KNOW AND WE WILL BE GLAD TO HELP.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SIGNED UP YOUR ENTRY FEE IS DUE BY THIS SATURDAY JUNE 2nd AT 5:30 PM. REMEMBER NO ONE IS ENTERED UNTIL YOUR FEE IS PAID.

REMINDER: THE DRAWING FOR THE GRILL TO HELP WITH THE HAWKINSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL GOLF TEAM EXPENSES TO THE STATE GOLF TOURNAMENT IS ALSO THIS SUNDAY AFTER THE TOURNAMENT AROUND  5:30 PM.  IF YOU HAVEN’T PURCHASED TICKETS PLEASE  CHECK WITH BUSTER OR MATT IN THE PRO SHOP.

We had 26 players start the round but only 15 finished.  I am not sure why so many chose to leave without finishing since we only had about 10 minutes of light rain. I have included an explanation of the bad weather rule that we voted on below.

“Bad Weather” Rule

We voted a couple of years ago to collect the $15 entry fee up front before heading out on the course. Effective June 1, we will enforce this rule and we will not go out to our starting holes until the captain has collected the monies from each team member and turned it over to a BOD member. If it is determined by a majority of players that the round cannot be finished within an hour of normal finishing time, players that choose to leave will get a refund, otherwise you forfeit the monies paid.

If any member has a better idea, we are open to suggestions.

We had 28 players today.

We have sure been lucky all this week with the rain. Hopefully we can get good weather next weekend for our Spring Four Ball. Details in the Pro Shop and on bulletin Board.If you have not signed up, please do so this week. We still need about 8 more teams.
