Good evening all. I wanted to clarify what the MGA does, and doesn’t do, with respect to posting scores.
For all official MGA matches we post your scores in the MGA database and update and print them out twice a month, around the 1st and 15th. These average sheets are updated on the clipboard, and are used to determine pickers and order of picking as well as to maintain everyones averages for scores shot in the various MGA games.
It is the responsibility of each individual to put all their scores in the GHIN system to maintain a proper handicap. This would be MGA events, as well as other rounds played. This is where your official handicap comes from and is used when playing in handicap tournaments.
Just wanted to clarify that the MGA does not put your MGA scores into the GHIN system. We only populate our database as described above. It is each individuals responsibility to put your scores into GHIN.
