Last night the MGA met to elect new members to the BOD. I would like to congratulate our new President James Simpson. The complete list is as follows:

As outgoing President, I would like to thank all our members for your support over the last few years, especially W J Daniell who has put in a lot of work to make us what we are today. I am both pleased with where we have been as an organization as well as the path we are on going forward.
REMINDER: We will have short meeting after golf on Thursday (1/21/21) to elect a President plus 2 board members for 2021-2022. We currently only have one person that has offered to serve on the BOD. If you are willing please contact Jody or WJ before Thursday afternoon.

On December 17th we held our annual meeting. At that time we voted to modify our by-laws such that the election of BOD members will be modified to provide for the election of President and two at-large positions on the odd numbered years and the Vice-President and Sect./Treasurer on the even numbered years. This was done to help make the transition smooth when new members are elected to the BOD. Board members are elected two 2 year terms as provided for in our by-laws.
Due to the low turnout we tabled the election of new BOD members until after the first of the year. We need to establish a slate of nominees who are willing to serve for 2 years. I am asking that anyone who is willing to serve, please send me your info so I can add it to the slate for the next meeting. The date of the next meeting has been established for Thursday 1/21/21 at 5:00 PM. If you cannot be there please appoint a proxy for your vote.
There are 3 BOD seats up for election:
*President – The current President (Jody Woodruff) is not running for re-election. However I will assist the incoming President to get him trained on things like managing the website and database. The actual time you need to devote to the operations of the MGA is only about an hour or two per week.
*Two at-large positions.
I am hoping we can get some ‘new blood” involved with the BOD so I encourage you to step up and become a part of the BOD. If we do not get any nominations or volunteers it will be up to the new board to fill any open spots (per our by-laws).
