REMINDER: Starting this Saturday, March 10, we will be playing a points game on every Saturday. Form your own foursome and we will do a blind draw for teams. Play with whomever you wish but for the purpose of determining winners, the computer will pick the teams. We are hoping by infusing some variety in our matches we can encourage more to participate.

2018 MGA Four Ball

NEW DATE: Spring Four Ball now scheduled for June 3, 2018.

Since there may be some changes to who is playing with whom, we will post a new sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. If you had already signed up before the date was changed, please sign up again.

Get your teams set. If you want to play but do not have a partner, just sign up as a single and we will try to pair you up. This is one of the few events we host each year where the results are based on handicap. The BOD will publish a complete list of the rules soon.

Let’s all work together to promote this event. Our goal is to get a full field of 60 players (30 teams).

We had 23 players today and not a drop of rain!

Note: The MGA BOD has been discussing ways to make the game more fair. Based on feedback from the general membership we have made the decision to change the way we determine the pickers for each match. Rather than use handicap index, we will use the Average Score. We will notify you soon as to when this will take effect, but we are shooting for March 10, 2018. We still need to make some decisions on how best to implement this change. How many scores back do we include? Do we count only Southern Hills scores? How do we break a tie? What method do we use to track the average score? You get the idea.
