Ryder Cup Match

Tom Flick has been in touch with Grand Island Golf Club in Albany, GA in recent days to try and setup a Ryder Cup match. They have agreed and we are looking for our best 24 golfers to take on the challenge. If you are interested, please sign up in the Pro Shop or contact Jody, Bill, Tim or Mike. 

Location: Grand Island Golf Club – Albany, GA/Southern Hills Golf Club – Hawkinsville, GA
Date: May 18-19, 2013
Format: 18 holes at Southern Hills on Saturday May 18th and 18 holes at Grand Island on Sunday 19th.
Eligibility: Member of Southern Hills MGA have first option
Entry fee: Members of Southern Hills pay for cart on Saturday and pay $30 to play on Sunday

Both locations will provide food.

Feb. Ringer Final Results

Congratulations go out to the winners of the Ringer for February. There was a 3 way tie, thanks to “charge em at the end” Bob Lamar. Bob rallied on Thursday with birdies on 8 and 11 to pull into a tie for first place. Hal Baker was unable to hold him off and Jody Woodruff was out of town.
If you are interested in participating in the March Ringer, be sure to see Jody on Saturday or Sunday to sign up. You  MUST pay before you play your first round in March to qualify.
Join in with us in March – it really does add an extra level of fun to the game and keeps you on your toes each time out.

Deadline to sign-up

A friendly reminder to everyone that you MUST have signed up 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. You may sign up in person or via a phone call to the pro shop.

It is important that we get teams picked on time so that we do not run late on our tee times. There are times where it might not be a big deal, but often times there are tee times booked following us. If we do not do our part to get started on time, then it is hard to expect the club to give us the standing tee times we enjoy today.

Deadline for signing up:

Thursday – 12:45

Saturday – 11:45

Sunday – 12:45
